About the Council

Council members play a key role in setting strategy and policy for the HCPC, and ensuring the organisation fulfils its statutory duties. The Council consists of 12 members (made up of 6 registrant and 6 lay members), appointed on behalf of the Privy Council. 

The HCPC also appoints registrants to its Education and Training Committee to contribute to the oversight of the HCPC’s work in relation to education, training and registration.
