Marc Seale, who has so diligently served the HCPC and built it from a small organisation to one of the UK's largest, independent regulators, has decided to leave following the transfer of social worker registrants to Social Work England.
On the announcement, Christine Elliott, Chair of Council said:
‘In the months I have worked with Marc, he has shown himself to be a knowledgeable, dedicated and genial guide to HCPC and matters regulatory. I have more than an inkling that his future plans will include some research and reflections on the changes in the international regulatory landscape during his long tenure as the HCPC's Chief Executive.’
John Barwick, currently Executive Director for Regulation, has been appointed as interim CEO, Accounting Officer and Deputy Registrar whilst a permanent replacement for Marc is recruited.
