Frances is an Advanced Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist who resides and works in Northern Ireland.
What is your role here at the HCPC and what do you do?
I am a Registered Physiotherapist panel member for the HCPC Fitness to Practise committee. I consider information and evidence presented to the Fitness to Practise panel to reach well-reasoned and fair decisions on registrants’ fitness to practise.
What do you like most about being a Partner?
One of the rewards of being a panel member is having the opportunity to work with people from a diverse range of backgrounds across the whole of the UK. To be part of a fair, transparent, and objective fitness to practice process that acts in the best interest of patients and service users is highly rewarding.
What are the challenges?
Considering often voluminous sets of papers and gaining an understanding of complex issues in a timely fashion to ensure that I am fully conversant with all the issues involved.
Tell us a surprising fact about yourself.
I am the proud recipient of a Blue Peter Badge which was awarded to me at the age of 10 years old.
