HCPC joins lay advocacy service POhWER
As part of our Fitness to Practise (FTP) Improvement Programme to consistently enhance the communication, engagement and support we provide to people who are part of our FTP processes, we’re happy to announce that we’ve partnered with the cross regulatory independent lay advocacy service POhWER.
Consultation on updates to our sanctions policy opens
We’re reviewing our sanctions policy to improve consistency and further strengthen decision-making by independent fitness to practise (FTP) panels. The consultation is running from 29 May 2025 to 1 September 2025.
Decision to withdraw approval of education programme
Our Education and Training Committee have taken the decision to remove HCPC’s approval of Edge Hill University’s Nurse Paramedic MSci programme from 10 September 2025.

Meet a Partner - Mary Hannon-Fletcher
Mary Hannon-Fletcher is a Professor of Biomedical Sciences at Ulster University. She is also an HCPC Panel Member and Lead Visitor.
